Working with COPA

A clear route from first conversation to ongoing support.

How clubs can engage COPA, how fees are structured and what ongoing support looks like.

Ways to work with COPA

Start with what the club needs now.

Clubs do not need to enter COPA through one fixed route. The right starting point depends on what leadership already understands and what needs attention.

Leadership Briefing

Understand what regulated football means in practice.

A no-obligation regulated-football briefing for club leaders on what is changing, the implications for the club and the questions leadership should be asking.

It is a regulated-football briefing, not a COPA sales presentation.

Commercial clarity

Built around what the club actually needs.

COPA builds on credible arrangements that already work. We add only what is needed and agree the level of support the club can realistically operate and use.

After the Diagnostic

See the whole next step before deciding.

If the club is considering COPA for the next stage, the commercial position is made clear before it commits.

One proposal. One Implementation: design, build and Ready-to-Operate.

COPA provides one proposal covering the fixed Implementation fee and the annual Core COPA or Managed COPA support fee that would follow. The club sees both before deciding whether to proceed.

ImplementationOne fixed fee for the agreed design, build and Ready-to-Operate handover.
Annual supportThe Core or Managed annual subscription that follows Implementation.
Design and build are agreed as one Implementation commitment. The Implementation fee and annual Core or Managed COPA support fee are agreed upfront. We only revisit them if a material assumption proves wrong or the agreed scope changes materially. Any change is agreed with the club before additional work starts.
Ongoing support

Choose the level of support the club needs.

Once Implementation is complete, the club moves into the annual support service agreed upfront.

Core COPA

The club operates. COPA periodically reviews and challenges.

For clubs able to operate their agreed GRC Operating Model day to day.

Two structured reviews each yearMost COPA activity is concentrated around these review points, with light support between them.
Review and challenge of evidence, actions and how the agreed arrangements are working.
Annual refresh, with light advisory and follow-through between review points.
Best fit: stronger internal capacity.
Managed COPA

More active COPA support through the year.

For clubs that want more help operating their agreed GRC Operating Model.

Monthly support + quarterly structured reviewsA more active rhythm of coordination and support through the year.
Active support when material decisions or events arise.
Specialist input and periodic refresh to keep the model current and improve it over time.
Best fit: thinner or developing capacity.

Core COPA and Managed COPA are annual subscriptions aligned to the club's agreed GRC Operating Model and scope.

The annual subscription includes the COPA platform and the agreed level of multidisciplinary support within scope.

Exceptional Support

Focused help when circumstances change.

Focused additional support during ownership or leadership change, regulatory pressure, remediation, significant transactions or other material events.

Separately scoped and agreed when needed. Best fit: event-driven need.

Clear scope. Clear responsibilities.

The operating model remains the club's. COPA provides the agreed support around it.
