Meet the COPA Squad

Meet Rishi

Founder | Governance, Risk & ComplianceSQUAD #27

Rishi founded COPA after more than 25 years in governance, risk and compliance in regulated financial services, including executive responsibility for risk, compliance and company secretariat. Over that time, he saw first-hand the difference good GRC can make when it is connected to how an organisation really works. Done well, it helps leaders make better decisions, strengthens resilience and builds confidence. It should do much more than simply satisfy regulatory requirements.

He built COPA to bring that experience into professional football as clubs enter a new era of independent regulation. Rishi leads COPA's overall proposition, Diagnostic and operating model design, working with the wider squad to help clubs understand what good can look like and build proportionate GRC capability that works in practice. He is particularly interested in the space between regulation and the reality of running a football club, and in how better GRC can help clubs become better-run organisations.

What Rishi brings to COPA

Away from COPA

Away from COPA, family comes first, with his wife, three children and Milo the dog keeping life busy. Football has always been the heartbeat, but his interest in sport goes much wider and he will happily follow almost anything competitive. He spends a fair amount of time watching podcasts too, usually whenever he gets the chance. Good food and travel are both big interests, especially when there is an excuse to combine the two and spend proper time with family and friends.
