Meet Nicole

Club Leadership | EDI & CultureSQUAD #18

Having previously played and coached football, Nicole has spent more than a decade working across the business side of football, including roles with the English Football League and Tottenham Hotspur Women, where she became General Manager. In 2021 she returned to her home city and founded Worcester City Women FC, building an independent club around a clear ambition for sustainable growth, opportunity and community impact.

As Owner & CEO, Nicole sees the reality of running and developing a football club every day. Her experience stretches across leadership, people, partnerships, commercial growth, financial sustainability and the culture needed to make all of that work. She brings that practical club perspective to COPA, alongside a strong focus on equality, diversity and inclusion, helping us make sure that what we build is useful in the real world and proportionate to the pressures clubs actually face.

What Nicole brings to COPA

Practical club leadership

First-hand experience of building and running an independent football club, making decisions with real people, resources and competing priorities.

EDI and culture

Bringing equality, diversity and inclusion into how a club is led and operated, rather than treating it as a separate policy exercise.

Implementation reality

Testing whether good governance and GRC ideas will actually work inside a football club day to day, not just on paper.

Away from COPA

Outside of football, Nicole enjoys keeping active (playing football!), travelling and discovering new places, with a particular interest in European countries and different cultures. She studied German as part of her degree in European Studies, which sparked her interest in languages, travel and experiencing different cultures, as well as enjoying good food and spending time with friends and family.
