Meet Mitzi

Mitzi is the Founder and Chief Consultant of VERITAS, an independent consultancy specialising in governance, risk, compliance and financial crime. As a GRC Specialist Consultant supporting COPA, she brings experience in regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, risk management and practical control implementation across regulated sectors. She helps connect complex requirements to clear responsibilities and arrangements that organisations can actually operate.

An award-winning compliance professional, Mitzi holds the ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance and received the ICA Outstanding Achievement Award for her work in anti-money laundering. She is also a published author and industry speaker, Chair of the Institute of Directors Emerging Leaders Board and a member of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management Global Advisory Council.

At COPA, Mitzi brings a practical perspective on proportionate governance and effective controls. Her approach is to make regulatory expectations accessible and useful, helping organisations move beyond compliance on paper towards frameworks that support better decisions and day-to-day operation. For clubs, this means clearer responsibilities without unnecessary complexity.
